Chief Mountain, sitting at 9,080 feet above sea level, can be seen from a hundred miles away. Named “Ninaistako” by the Blackfeet people, Chief Mountain is a sacred area. The Blackfeet have lived near Chief Mountain for a millennia and to them the mountain holds great power and knowledge.
